Our Music
Four voices, four parts, and the physics of sound
The Sound of Barbershop
Barbershop harmony is one of America's original art forms — a cappella four-part singing where the goal is a sound greater than the sum of its parts. When four voices lock into a perfectly tuned chord, the harmony rings with overtones that seem to float above the singers. Barbershoppers call it "ringing a chord," and once you've heard it — or felt it from inside the chord — it's unforgettable.
There are no instruments. No backing tracks. Just four voices, four parts, and the physics of sound.
What We Sing
We sing in the classic Barbershop style — melody carried by the Lead, harmony woven around it by the Tenor above and the Baritone within, anchored by the Bass below. Our repertoire spans classic American standards, folk songs, and contemporary arrangements written specifically for Barbershop ensembles.
We're a Level B chorus under WBQA guidelines, which means we're serious about singing well — crisp vowels, matched tone, disciplined blend — while keeping the focus on joy and fellowship rather than competition.
